Crochet Granny Square Blanket, Handmade Flower Afghan Throw, Housewarming Gift

Look closely, and you'll see the hours in it. Every square on this blanket is worked by hand in a mosaic-style colorwork: a warm coral heart, rings of periwinkle and deep navy pulled into texture with long spike stitches, then framed in soft cream. Square after square, row after row, each color change made by hand. Then every square is joined to the next, every yarn end woven in, and the whole blanket finished with a clean cream border. It takes weeks of patient handwork to make just one, and no two ever come out exactly alike. It's a modern geometric blanket with an old soul: the kind of granny square afghan that lives on the sofa for years, comes to bed on cold nights, and one day gets passed down. ✦ CHOOSE YOUR SIZE Baby Blanket — approx. 100 × 100 cm / 39 × 39 in. A first heirloom: the play mat, the stroller, the baby book photos. Throw Blanket — approx. 130 × 170 cm / 51 × 67 in. Made for the sofa, the reading chair and slow winter evenings. Bed Size — approx. 200 × 200 cm / 79 × 79 in. A hand-crocheted coverlet for the top of a full or queen bed. ✦ THE MAKING - Every square crocheted by hand in mosaic-style colorwork with textured spike stitches - Squares joined one by one by hand, every yarn end woven in for a clean finish on both sides - Yarn: soft cotton blend (55% cotton, 45% acrylic), breathable, gentle on the skin and made to keep its shape - Colors: deep navy, periwinkle blue, coral and cream, a geometric palette that suits modern, Scandinavian and classic rooms alike - Made to order, just for you: 3–4 weeks for the Baby Blanket, 4–8 weeks for the Throw and Bed sizes. This is the time real handwork takes. ✦ A GIFT THAT MEANS SOMETHING Some gifts are opened and forgotten. This one gets used every day. It's an anniversary gift for the two of you, a wedding or new home gift a couple keeps for a lifetime, a Christmas gift for someone who has everything, or a baby gift that becomes a family heirloom. And if it's for you, you deserve it too. ✦ QUESTIONS WE OFTEN HEAR Is it really handmade? Yes. Every square, every color change, every join and every border stitch is worked by hand. What makes it "mosaic"? The squares are built in layers of color, with long spike stitches that dip into the rows below and create the geometric texture you see up close. Which size fits a bed? The Bed Size (79 × 79 in) covers the top of a full or queen bed as a coverlet. Need it larger? Message us for a custom size. Is it warm? It's a medium-weight crochet blanket: cozy through fall and winter, breathable in spring. Can I choose my own colors? Yes. Message us before ordering and we'll create your palette together. For the Throw and Bed sizes, please message us before ordering and we'll tell you honestly what's possible. ✦ A GENTLE NOTE - Baby Blanket: following safe-sleep guidance, please keep loose blankets out of the crib for babies under 12 months while they sleep. A blanket like this grows slowly, a few squares at a time, through many evenings. If I wouldn't wrap my own family in it, I would never send it to yours. ───────────────────────────── Love granny squares?
